Research

The main research interests  of the Department cover several  areas of Biology, Geology, and Environmental Sciences. Research activities also include bioiformatics, macromolecular chemistry, mathemathical analysis, statistics  and physics. Research is performed by groups that manage equipment as well as human and financial resources and develop research lines, in part autonomously and in part integrated with those of other groups in the Department or in other institutions, resulting in a rich network of collaborations.
